We got the contract! ConnerGroups has its first municipal client in the form of the Town of Mount Pleasant, North Carolina!
We're excited to be involved in this project because, unlike the church sites and school sites that we've focused on in the past, that had specific target audiences with specific needs, this site will test our "vision" by reaching out to thousands of residents, of all age groups, and of varied informational needs. There will be no "cookie cutter" solutions for TMP (our cool, military-style acronym!), instead, they will need a living, breathing, information enabled site that can be effectively managed by dozens of offices (Parks and Grounds, Police, Fire, Water Department, the Mayor's office, and many, many more), each with its own set of needs and expectations.
Our initial reaction was akin to "wide-eyed disbelief"....this could be HUGE! But the reality is that the town has a council that is informed and committed, with a very clear vision of what they want, how they want it to look and when they want it. They have a vision, they have a plan and they have selected ConnerGroups as their sole solution provider.
We created a "work in progress" website, then quickly migrated their existing information to a "joomla-enabled" communications vehicle, sure to please, guaranteed to inform, and certain to positively reflect the local citizen's pride and values. Check it out here!
